The 17th Australian HACCP Conference will be held on Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th August. This year the Conference Package also incorporates the SQF Conference to be held on Thursday 26th August at the same venue. On
Monday and Friday of that week there will be workshops and training sessions.
The Australian HACCP Conference is the premier discussion forum for all food industry professionals involved in food safety. Each year the conference attracts a loyal following together with a growing number of delegates involved in the development, implementation and maintenance of food safety programs.
About the SQF International Conference (26th August)
This will be the fifth SQF International Conference and the first outside of North America. The SQF Institute is a Division of the US-based Food Marketing Institute (FMI), and manages the SQF 1000 and SQF 2000 supplier codes. The SQF codes have seen considerable growth internationally over the past twelve months, and this conference will showcase retailers, suppliers and other stakeholders from both sides of the Pacific outlining case studies and developments in the SQF Program.

New Training Courses
HACCP Update | $585 |
The basic aim of the course is to refresh the understanding of the seven principles of HACCP, and how those principles are applied to the development of a HACCP plan through:
• Emerging issues
• Updates on legislation
• Review of HACCP principles
• Introducing operational pre-requisite programs
• Implementation and review
The practical exercises are based on a review of your HACCP plans. You will need to bring a copy with you.

Implementing Effective Foreign Body Controls | $450 |
This course has been designed to assist food manufacturers and processors in understanding the workings associated with foreign object detection devices and other control devices; their positives and negatives and problems to be aware of when installing, operating and monitoring these devices.

Pest Management for Food Processors | $585 |
This course is designed to assist food businesses understand the attributes and practical operation of an effective pest management program as an essential pre-requisite for any food safety management system. The course includes the types of pests likely to be found in food premises, their life cycles, signs of infestation and methods of control, and the responsibilities of food businesses and pest controllers.
